THE AARDVARK INTERNATIONAL PRINTING TOUR

Beginning in 2024, Enzo and his cousin Jonathan von Dehl set out to connect with the global community of letterpress printers and discover artists who love the world of printing as much as they do.

Part of the mission of Aardvark is to foster community among letterpress printers worldwide. By connecting with one another, we can exchange knowledge, share techniques, promote each other’s work, and help sustain the global letterpress community. We believe that when one of us succeeds, we all succeed. For each trip, they create a custom print to deliver to all the printers they visit along the way.

SOUTHERN SWING: JUNE 1-14, 2025

Enzo and Jonathan von Dehl headed south for some good ol' Southern Printing Hospitality. One of their key visits was to the historic Hatch Show Print in Nashville, TN. After Nashville, they made their way to New Orleans to visit Scriptura and Fitzgerald Press, and then onto Montgomery, Alabama to visit Cotton & Pine Print Shop and many more as they continue to explore and contribute to the community of printers and artists who love the world of printing as much as they do.

UK TRAVELROUND: NOVEMBER 9-26, 2024

Enzo and Jon embarked on the inaugural Aardvark International Printing Tour to the UK where they visited shops in London, Bristol, and Cardiff. Shops & artists/printmakers visited include: Hand & Eye, New North Press, Nice & Graphic, Print & Ephemera, Bristol Print Collective, Alan Kitching, Theo Hersey, and Amplifier Press.

    The Brewery Artwalk is a twice-annual open studio weekend held at the world’s largest art complex. With over 100 resident artists participating, you'll have the chance to explore new works, discover emerging favorites, meet the artists, and purchase artwork directly from their studios.

    One of the long-time residents is Dave Lefner, who works in the rare and historic technique of linocut reduction printing—an intricate process originally developed by Pablo Picasso. Dave was also one of 18 artists featured in Aardvark’s 40th Anniversary L.A. Loteria show in 2008.

    Come out to support some of L.A.’s finest artists, take home unique pieces, and enjoy a meal at the on-site restaurant.

  • INTERNATIONAL PRINTING MUSEUM FAIR

    We’ll be showing off some of our latest and greatest letterpress creations. Last year, the Museum had over 40,000 visitors - their largest crowd ever - and they’re expected to surpass that this year.

  • THE DRUM BARRACKS 1860 TECHNOLOGY FAIR

    We'll be hauling our 100-year old table top press to Wilmington for their annual Civil War-era technology fair. Enzo will be decked out in Civil War attire and sporting mutton chops. Word on the street is that the place is haunted!
